Oh how terrible. I think you're right that one of the worst parts was having your son there and not being able to understand what was going on.
Thank you, though, you just vendicated me. I too said that childbirth couldn't hold a candle to the pain I had with my crushed tibia.
My best advice is to do exactly what the drs. and therapists tell you to do.
